FPS
Konečný, Dominik ; Kudělka, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
This text documents the creation of a prototype of core systems in a digital FPS (first person shooter) game. There are two goals. One is to fulfill all the requirements of the genre and to follow up on its history. The second one is to try and find new approaches to individual elements from the design perspective, but also their connections and controls. The elements themselves are movement (walking, running, jumping etc) and combat (shooting, aiming, enemies and their capabilities and intelligence). Also the work is about finding ways how to transmit information through immersive user interface, mainly virtual hands and items. Throughout the work I focus on the elements one at a time. First I shortly describe what they are and their purpuse, then a bit about their history and in the end I describe my approach.
Design and Implementation of Computer Game
Šulo, Samuel ; Munzar, Milan (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design and implementation of a 2D horror platform game on a computer device. The implemented game consists of three levels and accompanies the player through horror elements created by visual and sound effects. The game is designed for future expansion. Several phase tests were performed on the finished game. Feedback is received from users in the form of completed questionnaires and subsequent evaluation of the results. Furthermore, the work briefly acquaints the reader with the history of games and the basics of working in the Unity game engine, in which the game itself is created.
Analysis of the effectiveness of the penalty kick in "the Champions League" in 2009-2019
HUŠEK, Jan
In this bachelor's thesis, we analyse all penalty kicks that were played in the UEFA Champions League over a 10-year period (2009-2019) in terms of performance efficiency. The aim of our work is to analyse and compare penalty kicks using rating scales in the UEFA Champions League during a period of 10 seasons. The partial aim is to create a profile of the so-called ideal shooter. In the analytical part of the work, we look at the historical and organisational analysis of the penalty kick and the basic characteristics of football, as well as the structure of football competitions. In the synthetic part of the work, we then analysed all the recorded penalty kicks from a total of 1250 matches and created rating scales and categories according to different specificities. Based on the data collected, we were also able to create a profile of the so-called ideal shooter. Despite obtaining successful results, we believe that the final values cannot be applied uniformly to all football competitions because of the different quality of players, clubs, competitions, and the uniqueness of this standard situation.
